Notice of Proposed Change to Office Hours & 30-Day Public Comment Period

Date Posted: 11/02/2026
Category: Public Notice

Comment Period: starts November 2, 2026 Ends Dec 2, 2026

Please take notice that management intends to introduce a resolution regarding an adjustment to our public-facing office hours. This notice initiates a required 30-day public comment period to gather feedback from residents before any final board action can be taken.

Board Review & Timeline

  • November 19, 2026: The resolution will be formally brought to the Board of Commissioners for its first reading and initial review.
  • January 2027 Meeting: Because policy updates cannot be finalized until after the 30-day public comment period concludes and all feedback is evaluated, the resolution will not be voted on for final approval until the regularly scheduled Board meeting in January 2027.

Proposed Schedule Adjustment

Current Office Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Proposed Office Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Important Note: Staff working hours will remain exactly the same (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM). This proposed change strictly modifies the hours the office doors are open to walk-ins and appointments for resident assistance.

Reason for the Proposed Change

  • Morning Preparation: Staff require 10 to 15 minutes at the beginning of the shift to boot up network servers, launch primary computer programs, and log in securely. Setting the public opening time to 7:30 AM ensures all systems are fully responsive and staff members are completely prepared to assist you the moment you enter.
  • Afternoon Conclusion: Closing the doors to the public at 5:00 PM provides staff with the necessary uninterrupted time to complete pending transactions, finalize files, and conclude late meetings within their shift. This eliminates operational overtime costs incurred when visitors arrive right before closing time.

30-Day Public Comment Period
The public comment period opens today, November 2, 2026, and will close at the end of the business day on December 2, 2026. We welcome your feedback, questions, or concerns. You may submit your written comments via the following methods:
