Notice of Public Comment Period
Proposed Amendments to the Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP) & Residential Lease Agreement
The Niceville Housing Authority (NHA) is holding a 30-day public comment period from November 1 to December 1, 2026, to receive input on proposed revisions to its Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP) and Residential Lease Agreement.
These updates are being made to implement the federal mandates of the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA), which will go into effect on January 1, 2027. Aside from the mandatory HOTMA regulations, a lease timeline update to a 30-day notice period, and the explicit listing of a $10.00 NSF check fee, all other changes to the ACOP and lease consist strictly of minor grammar and sentence structure improvements.
